Ready to Re-Up!

I have had a few days now to sit back and reflect on God’s gracious hand on our ministry, illustrated again by our first Tuesday night service in the main worship center at 12Stone. We have prayed hard and worked hard to get to our Grand Opening service, and now we have actually entered into a brand new ministry season.
As we have now moved into our new season, and our new room, it provides us all with a chance to re-up in our commitment of service to God through Water’s Edge. Every one of us must decide, once again, whether we will be fan’s of Christ or follower’s of Christ. So, here are a few questions for you to ask yourself as you do a spiritual “self-checkup”
When it comes to being a fan or follower of Christ in our ministry, you must ask yourself “Am I a fan or follower when it comes to…”
- Worshiping with Intensity – Do I consistently look for ways to bring God honor through my actions? What is He asking me to do to honor Him today?
- Investing in Community – Am I just excited about people engaging with God through small groups, or am investing in community by participating in a small group?
- Practicing Compassion – Do I have a habit of identifying the needs/burdens that exist in our world and moving towards action?
- Spreading the Gospel – Am I serious about using Water’s Edge as a place to invite my friends who need Christ? Who am I investing in for the sake of Christ?
These are just a few questions that we can use as we seek to Give Ourselves Away as a part of Water’s Edge. I believe that this ministry is one of the best college ministries that exists in our country, and I count it a joy to serve alongside many of you.
Excited for this next season in Water’s Edge!
