God’s Presence

I began attending Water’s Edge in June 2007. Like everyone else, I didn’t know anyone when I first attended. I was pretty shy and quiet at first. There was something unique behind the message that kept me coming back, wanting to seek more of God’s heart and hearing what He had to put on Miles’ heart. I began plugging myself more into the ministry by being involved with small group and serving on a ministry team as well as with the campus ministry.
God began to show more of His character to me, by surrounding me in an environment full of college-aged students who continue to passionately seek to pursue God’s love and heart. By reaching out to the lost and pouring His love on them, God has taught me how to love based on His unconditional love and spread the good news about Jesus and the sacrifice He put on the cross for the lost people. God has taught me how to be humble and patient in all I do through the ministry.
I was recently baptized a couple months ago and God has really been working in me to continue to be motivating, supporting, encouraging, caring and most importantly love on the people that surrounds me daily. Water’s Edge has changed my life from that day forward and I continue to strive and seek Him, even in the deepest and darkest aspects of my life. Thanks to environments like this, I’m able to connect with God inside and outside of the ministry, by allowing the Holy Spirit to work inside and through me.
