Homeward Bound

June 27, 2010 by Elliot Bell

We are starting the journey home today. God has been doing some incredible things in all of this. The biggest thing that God has been doing in us has been encouraging us. It was incredibly uplifting to be around a church that despite the persecution and what some would call a small amount of fruit [...]

Becoming A Servant

June 25, 2010 by Elliot Bell

The church has a lot to be ashamed of. It is incredibly unfortunate that this statement is true but, the fact of the matter is, it is. We have not embodied Jesus. We have a lot to apologize for. That truth is what makes the ministry in Volos so powerful. They are earning the right [...]

Meteora

June 23, 2010 by Elliot Bell

Today was a free day for us. We woke up early and after our devotions we headed out to Meteora. We had the day to explore and see the ancient monastery where Monks still live to this day. The monastery was unique for sure. I’ll leave an image to describe what I am sure I [...]

Greece is coming!

June 7, 2010 by Elliot Bell

I am excited about this trip and about the people going on it. As I sat and heard their stories this past week, I was encouraged by their faith. Their stories ranged from walking through emotional turmoil with God over fundraising for the trip, all the way to God providing completely for the trip and [...]

April 10, 2010 by Elliot Bell

Alithos Anesti!

This past Saturday night the Greece team piled into a van and headed downtown to the Greek Orthodox Church for their Easter service. So, it was one Greek and a bunch of Americans holding freshly bought candles that piled into an already packed out Orthodox Church to see the service. As it got closer to [...]
