My friend feels like they should quit school because God is calling them to go into missions, but they’ve never been on a mission trip before, what advice should I give them? Is it my job as their friend to stop them?
How can I distinguish what the Holy Spirit is saying to me and my own inner thoughts? How can I test that?

I’ve heard growing up that because there are so many translations and versions of the Bible, not to mention it’s 2,000 years old, that some of it is skewed and made up to be different than what it originally was. How can I trust God that what I’m reading is truly his word?

I’ve heard that spiritual people can hear God… but sometimes God quits speaking- why is this? Does He actually withold communication? Is it my fault? What does silence from God mean for me?
If God is trustworthy, why does it seem like he does untrustworthy things? Why does it feel like he abandons me? If God is trustworthy, why do he surround me with untrustworthy people?
Which is more important, walking in the spirit, or layered obedience?

I want to know real practical ways to listen to God. I know there’s no audible voice or anything, but there’s gotta be ways to test and know what He’s saying. What’s that whole fleece thing about in the Bible?
Why do we pray?
What kinds of things should we be praying for? People are always saying things like “pray for me that my test goes well.” or ” pray i can talk to my parents and they’ll have grace with me.” Should we really be praying for things like that? I feel like we should be praying for perseverance and wisdom and things like that
Should I be paid to use the anointing God has put on my life? Or should it always be given away for free.
I have parents who don’t understand my growth with Christ, and why I go to church. They ridicule me a lot, and always look for the negative in my life. I do my best to respect my parents, but it is really hard. I was wondering if there is something I can work on to help me stay focused on Christ and not let my parents pull me down, while also respecting them: because when they say things like that to me I loose a lot of strength in myself, and in my faith.
How do we know if we are interpreting what we are reading from the Bible correctly?
Is there a limit in admiration toward others or is it called idolizing? How does one discern on the situation?
